Vibes
Vibes are a person’s emotional state or the atmosphere of a place as communicated to and felt by others. Everyone has a vibe whether it ranges from super happy to super sad. Most times you won’t actually feel the persons vibe, but you’ll see it i.e. they’re happy. Sometimes though you will actually feel the persons vibe. For example if a super happy person walks into a room of sad people they might feel better just because of the persons happy presence. It goes the other way around too if someone really depressed walks into a room of happy people they’ll feel a bit more depressed and not as happy
So normally I don’t mind an occasional mood change because of someone else’s sad or happy presence, but there’s this person who’s always just destroying the mood. From the moment they step in the door you can see it on their face that the atmosphere has changed for the worse. Now I can see how they have it bad off and all, but they could still try to keep the atmosphere alive.
During a series of unfortunate events this person’s vibe has slowly gone down. But now something good has happened to them! And yet today they came back with the worst vibe ever. I was in the greatest mood and so was the rest of my family and suddenly they get to my house and the happy atmosphere is gone.
This person seems to be angry most of the time they’re in my presence. I’m not sure if it’s just their nature or it’s me. I know that they don’t like it when I’m kinda hyper, but I have a lot of trouble controlling that. It would just be easier if they would adapt to it.
We can’t really control vibes because once we’re in the persons presence we’ll feel the emotion they feel. As long as we are close to them or in the same house we’ll feel that way unless we not talk to them for a while. Even though sometimes vibes can kill atmospheres they can be good. If I was super depressed and I saw a friend who had a good vibe I would feel a lot better.
That’s one of the reasons we get so happy when we’re around friends, because we’re having fun and the person gives off a good vibe.
Well that’s all for now. I’ll probably post another sometime tonight. Maybe Fear Section 3? Should I do Fear Section 3? Or not. Do you guys like the Fear Sections?
If you love me and are my friend you will repost this 5+ times
Fear Section 2. Random Homicide and Murder
Whenever there’s a shooting or killing somewhere in the U.S. it’s always all over the news for days. But after said days are over everyone stops watching. Coincidently after the days are over and everyone stops watching the true story will eventually emerge. But it won’t emerge on the T.V. It’ll emerge somewhere where it will most likely be ignored. Like a website i.e. Yahoo,WRAL…. The truth after most of these stories is that they aren’t random they are actually planned. I’m not saying we shouldn’t be worried, but we seem to have gotten mixed up with the true nature and the extent of these problems.
For example. A Soldier had just returned home to Detroit and was shot dead outside of his apartment building. The front page story in the Washington Post depicts the situation this way.
Conley Street, on this city’s northeast side, is a pleasant looking row of brick and wood homes with small, neat lawns, a street that for years was the realization of the American dream for middle income families. But in the past few eyars, Conley has become a street of drugs, crime and occasional bursts of gunfire. And at 2:15a.m. Monday, the bullets killed Army Spec. Anthony Riggs, something that all of Iraq’s Scud missiles could not do during his seven months with a Patriot missile battery in Saudi Arabia.
“His mother described him as a man who deeply loved his family and his country. Anthony wrote home from Saudi Arabia saying “There’s no way I am going to die in this rotten country. With all of God’s grace and his guidance, I’ll walk on American soil once again.” But before that letter had even arrived, while Riggs was moving his wife and their three year old daughter into a new apartment, five shots had rung out and witnesses heard the sound of screeching tires. Some thug had shot Riggs and he was found dying in the gutter by his wife.” the Post reported.
So right around here is where people normally stop watching and don’t want to hear anymore about it.
Wait I’m not telling the actual story. To editors and journalists and ideal crime story is one like this one. The only problem here though is that a small portion of this crime story is actually true. The truth is he was actually shot, but it was not random. While police were going through garbage cans around the Conley Street neighborhood, an officer found a hand guyn that turned out to belong to Michael Cato, who was the brother of Riggs’s wife, Toni. Michael was ninteen years old and was currently serving a life sentence for murder, Michael said in a confession that his sister had promised him a share of $175,000 in life insurance benefits. Does this sound like a set up to you? Reporters can’t be blamed for failing to possess this information prior to its discovery by the police officer, but had they been a bit skeptical or made a few phone calls they almost certainly would have come fallen on at least some aspects of the truth.
For example they could’ve learned that Toni, Riggs’s wife, had been making noises about dumping Anthony for some time, or possibly that she arranged a hefty life insurance policy for here husband before he went off to war. The reporters could also have checked into Mrs. Riggs’s past and discoverd previous irregularities, such as the fact that she had not even yet divorced her previous husband when she married Anthony.
Journalists also might’ve discovered a letter Riggs wrote to his mother from Saudi Arabia saying “Toni has wrecked my car. She is now bouncing checks… She is never home 2:30A.M., 4A.M…. I would put my head through the neck of a hot sauce bottle to pleace her, but now I need happiness in return” People magazine, the only major publication that ran a full fledged account of the true story.
Reporters, Editors, Journalists normally don’t go into that much detail about the actual stories only that someone was murdered, what the family has to say, and how they died.
I’m not saying all murders are planned, but a great percentage of them are.
How many of you guys actually read these?
Fear Section 1. Road Rage.
Let me start off by saying people get wayyy too afraid of this. You have to be cautious but not as cautious as people are now. In 1998 there was a news article in Los Angeles Times saying “Road Rage has become an exploding phenomenon across the country.” After reading the article I noticed at the bottom it said that only five passengers and drivers were killed in the previous five years. Also in 1998 Los Angeles Times said that the Pacific Northwest was a region particularly “Plagued by a rise in Road Rage”. I’m not sure about you guys, but to me one death a year isn’t a plague.
Now I know I’m talking about the past. But look at all the times people have honked at others, given them the finger, angry gestures etc.. and not gotten shot? The more the media, police and insurance companies etc… hear about road rage incidents the more they will talk about Road Rage and THAT means more people will be worried about road rage.
In the late 1990s police and reporters said that a variety of highway mishaps were cases of Road Rage. In 1998 truck was going up an exit ramp in the wrong direction and crushed a car killing all of the passengers. Accident? The Truck driver being stupid? It could be either of those two and yet police filed it as a case of Road Rage.
In the past 6 years about 1,200 people have been killed in road rage accidents. But since police and reporters have a tendency to report actual accidents as Road Rage how much of it is Road Rage? 1,200 is a lot even though some of it might not be Road Rage yeah? Well almost all of Road Rage happens in Miami, Phoenix, New York, Los Angeles and Boston. How many times have you been to any of the cities and how long? Did you become a victim of Road Rage?
I’m not saying that it isn’t a threat, but fear can put tension on the mind. If you’re sitting in your car scared that someone’s gonna shoot you and you become a victim of road rage you’ll have tension on your mind. If someone has tension on their mind depending on how much they can be the attacker of road rage. Because even though it’s just fear it’s still tension. When someone has that much tension and gets honked at a lot they are prone to explode and attack the honker.
I’m not saying to be afraid, but a lot of people overreact and are more afraid than they should be. This is for them
Racism
Racism is a very sensitive subject. People sometimes think it’s ok to joke around with somebody because of their race, but in the other persons mind they think it’s offensive they just don’t want to admit it. I’m not saying that everyone thinks it’s offensive when they joke around about it but just be sure that it’s ok with them before you say something that’s really offensive. In my other posts I’ve talked about Influence. Influence is a very key point in racism. If your parents are racist than there is a great chance you will be and then you may influence your friends and they will become racist etc..
Racism is like a sickness. If I had swine flu and I was around my friends then they would get swine flu. Although It doesn’t spread in the same way. As I have said before It spreads through influence. The south generally tends to be more racist than the north. But now it seems like people will be racist just for the sole point of being racist and ticking people off.
Another thing that seems to happen is people think that people are only racist against African Americans. This isn’t true at all. Indians, Hispanics, Asians and sometimes even Caucasians will get ragged on. It’s not just races either. It can be religions such as Christianity,Hindi, Bah Hai, Buddhism, Judiasm, Muslim. When I say Christianity I also mean all of the sub cultures of Christianity like Catholicism, Lutherans, Protestants etc..
So how can we stop racism? Well we can’t entirely stop it, but we can at least try to lower the severity of it. For instance if someone says a racist joke that is against your race or religion give a small laugh to show that you didn’t approve of the joke or don’t laugh at all. If someone really starts ragging on your religion or race just straight up tell them that you don’t like it. If they still persist about it then say you don’t want to be friends with a racist even if that includes them and say you’ll give them a second chance. Second chances should only be made depending on the severity of the joke or saying.
I’m not trying to start a revolution or anything or telling you guys to do this. I was just posting it to see if you would like it or not. And it was on my mind.
Categorizing
In high school people will categorize you by the way you dress. Some categories such as Emo and Goth are looked down upon and yet prep and jock are welcomed. When you hang out with people you get categorized as well. Let’s look at this scenario. If I hung out with preps even though I don’t dress prep I will be associated with them and eventually called prep. Categorizing is probably one of the worst features of highschool. Not because it can be offensive just because others are looked down upon on how they dress. If anything people should be categorized by how they act not how they dress. You can see a prep kid acting emo and yet he is still called prep. Categorizing is a lot like judging people. Either way your saying something about someone that may not be true. Also emos don’t hang out with the preps because the preps think the emos are below them. We should all just be able to hang out together. As one huge diverse family. I may sound like a hippie or some of you might call me gay and I’m not, but the sad truth is how we are categorized comes with restrictions. Like I said an example would be emos hanging out with preps. It’s not gonna happen. I’m not saying we force people to not categorize I’m saying don’t do it and your friends will notice that you don’t and depending on how much influence you have on the friend then they will stop. I dress differently from others because I wear all black, have chains, and studded belts and people categorize me as goth, but I’m not. I may look like it to the naked eye, but I don’t act like a goth. This just proves that even though I act differently than goths do I’m still categorized as a goth and I’m being judged without people even knowing me. People would be able to get along so much better If they would just accept the fact that they can hang out with people who aren’t in the their category. But people won’t accept it because they are too proud and feel they have too much dignity. The only way it can be stopped is the power of influence. If I influenced a prep to hang out with goths he would hang out with goths and let them hang out with him. But if I told him to hang out with goths and let them hang out with him he wouldn’t hang out with them. Not all people will resent other categories, but a lot will.
